The EPA’s New Lead Paint Rule: What it Means For You
October 28, 2008
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT
Fee: $79 per phone site
If your members do almost any kind of construction or installation work inside homes or child occupied facilities built before 1978, they need to know about the EPA’s new Lead: Renovation, Repair and Painting rule, which will become mandatory in April 2010.
In short, the Lead: Renovation, Repair and Painting rule requires:
- An eight-hour training session
- New work practices, including cleaning verification
- Keeping records for three years
The rule also prohibits some work practices.
This audio seminar will explain, in detail, what the new rule covers and exactly what remodelers need to do to be compliant. A panel of experts will discuss the rule and answer questions. You’ll also find out where to get additional information.
Don’t wait until 2010 to get informed! Get on top of these changes before they get on top of you.
Speakers:
Brindley Byrd, CGR, CAPS, of QX2 Contracting, Lansing, MI
Bob Hanbury, CGR, of House of Hanbury, Newington, CT
Matt Watkins, NAHB Environmental Policy Analyst
