Road Show Deadline
The deadline for completed Remodelors Council Road Show applications is approaching quickly. Don't miss out on this opportunity to grow your memebrship.
The Road Show is a membership recruitment tool designed by the NAHB Remodelors Council to assist local councils recruit new members through quality education programs. The Road Show is a two day program including a leadership roundtable discussion and business education programs.
This past October the Road Show was hosted by the Wichita Area Builders Association (WABA). WABA was able to recruit 18 new HBA members and 19 new Remodelors Council members.
“Having the opportunity to be involved in presenting the Road Show to prospective new members, as well as current builder members who are diversifying their business into remodeling was one of the best and most beneficial experiences we have had – both from the overall Association/Remodelors Council perspective, and the positioning of the Association to recruit new members while promoting professionalism through quality education offerings. I would highly recommend other Associations consider sponsorship of a Road Show event. The benefits are both immediate and long term. We would do it again!” said Wes Galyon, President/CEO of WABA.
Day one the NAHB Remodelors Council leadership will meet with local council leadership and staff. This is a half-day roundtable to discuss issues surrounding the local council and strategic initiatives to aide in the success of the council from programming to leadership succession.
The second day is a full-day education program for industry professionals titled Take the Road to Higher Profits. The goal is to invite attendees who are not members of the council through a patron program with local suppliers. The local council members and HBA staff solicit patrons to support the program by distributing the Road Show tickets to their clients as a gift. Patrons are encouraged to follow-up with the client to ensure attendance; the Road Show also offers the patron the opportunity to attend the education program, to spend the day with their client and mingle with perspective clients.
"Take the Road to Higher Profits" education programs are presented by two nationally known speakers, Vince Butler, CGR, CAPS and Alan Hanbury, Jr, CGR, CAPS. They will deliver two education sessions, “Planning Your Way to Profit" and "Overhead, Margin and Markup." The day includes two seminars, continental breakfast, lunch and concludes with a networking reception.
