LCW - What you Missed

You were missed at the Local Coucnil Workshop held in Chicago on Oct. 18.  Local Council leaders from Tennessee to Connecticut shared ideas and heard about the new Remodelors Coucnil offerings made avaiable through the national office.

What's New at National?
The NAHB Remodelors Coucnil has new offerings for local councils:
  • New membership brochure
  • New "7 in 2007" recruitment campaign
  • New member advertisement

Read about each of the above in this newsletter. We are excited about these professionally programs and hope you will take advantage to what is avaiable to you.

For more information, e-mail Barbara Drobins at bdrobins@nahb.com, or call her at 800-368-5242 x8217.

Public Promotion
Jim Lapides, Communications Manager for the Remodelors Council, provided a Public Relations 101 seminar to the attendees. Workshop participants learned:
  • What PR can accomplish. It can increase awareness, but it cannot fix unresloved problems.
  • Even though you can not control who a reported might use as a resource you can ensure that your side of the story is heard.

For more information, e-mail Jim at jlapides@nahb.com, or call him at 800-368-5242 x8451. [return to top]
